Rix Metal Hand Saw Blades

RIX metal hand saw blades are available in five versions—ranging from the flexible, economical carbon steel blade to the virtually unbreakable HSS bi-metal blade. Each type is available with 18 and 24 teeth per inch in a set-tooth design, as well as with 32 teeth in a wavy-tooth design. This ensures there’s a blade to suit every material, every thickness, and every application.

  • Type F: Flexible, cost-effective carbon steel blade
  • Type M: Versatile, partially heat-treated HSS
  • Type R: through-hardened for guided, precise cuts
  • BiH type: hardened at the tips of the teeth, making it partially flexible
  • Bi-metal type: “unbreakable,” flexible, and durable

Type F is sufficient for soft materials and occasional cuts; Type M or R is recommended for daily workshop use. Where the blade must not break—such as during overhead assembly work—the bi-metal version is the best choice. The tooth pitch depends on the material thickness: 18 teeth for solid material, 24 teeth for tubes and profiles, and 32 wavy teeth for thin sheet metal.
